Ignoring consent at work?

Ignoring consent at work?

It’s like driving with a flat tire.

Doing so can get messy and lead to tragedies.

When companies overlook consent, it often shows first as small cracks:

– Trust quietly exits.

– Reputation takes silent hits.

– Top talent “mysteriously” updates LinkedIn.

The cost? Bigger than you think.

When people feel their voice, choice, and autonomy don’t matter, they either leave or worse, they stay… checked out.

Leaders, take note:

✅ Don’t assign employees to projects without asking.

✅ Don’t bulldoze consent and expect loyalty.

✅ Don’t confuse silence with agreement.

Consent isn’t just a nice-to-have.

It’s your quiet shield against high turnover, disengagement, and brand damage.

Treat it with the same urgency you give your quarterly reports.

(Maybe more.) 😉
